Multi-media shows

I'm booking three multi media shows for 2016 and 2017  Here's a brief outline for each show or you can click on the link above under "Multi-media shows"  for more details.  You can book the shows individually or a package of two or three.

'Mama's Got the Blues' is being called a "performance documentary.  I collaborated with film maker Jean Antolini to put together a show about Women Blues and Jazz musicians dating back as far as 1904 to the present. I play their songs live while photographs and film clips are projecting on a screen behind me.

'Mama's Got The Blues'  was one of the main presenters at the Garden State Film Festival in April 2014 and we have been presenting the show in Colleges, Theaters and Community centers. We also toured with the show through New Zealand in Feb, March and April of 2014.  For more detailed info, photos and videos check out the EPK link

'A Journey Down An American Music Highway'  Is a show I put together in 2010 for the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait.   It is  a multi-media show about the history of American Music.   It covers all genres of American music which I play the songs of Steven Foster, W.C. Handy, Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, Patsy Cline, Bill Monroe plus many more that take the audience on a journey through the various eras and styles of our musical heritage.

"Through Their Voices: The Stories Behind the Songs"    From poems and stories passed down through generations of the Cherokee and Lumbee Tribes to a song from a current pop singer, I put together a program that highlights the lives and works of North Carolina women who made a difference.

Using photographs, stories and live music, I'll demonstrates how the writings and songs of each of these women from various parts of North Carolina played an integral part in creating awareness and bringing a positive change to the society in both the local and national arenas.
